The Challenge

Destination Rotorua is a Council Controlled Organisation owned by the Rotorua Lakes Council which focuses on the growth and attraction of visitors, students and businesses to Rotorua. Destination Rotorua recently refreshed their Famously Rotorua brand which they needed to share with a domestic kiwi audience. Their focus was to grow awareness of Rotorua as ‘must do’ destination during the tourism shoulder seasons.

Our Approach

Services: Google AdWords Display Advertising

Dubzz set up and managed Google Display Remarketing ads to be consistent with Destination Rotorua’s traditional and online advertising.
Dubzz used professional imagery and worked within the strict brand guidelines to produce engaging ad creative that shows off Rotorua as a must do destination.
The ads were optimised to grow an engaged audience using remarketing and interest targeting to further grow awareness of the Rotorua region as a diverse and exciting Kiwi holiday destination.

The Results

Each 3-month seasonal campaign has generated over 1 million impressions and thousands of website visitors to the website to research and plan their holidays in Rotorua.

There was a 120% increase in website visitors engaging in the seasonal content over the campaign period (compared to the same period last year).
