John Paul College

The Challenge

John Paul College is one of the largest and most successful schools in the Rotorua area. For a long time however, they had a website which needed a lot of improvement, and was not time or cost effective to maintain and update. They also found it difficult to keep the content fresh and relevant for parents, teachers and students. This is why they came to us with the idea of a new website. As well as solving these problems, JPC also wanted to be able to improve the functionality of the website with a shopping cart so they could sell school uniforms online, and a virtual school tour. There would also be a particular focus on highlighting their school and the Rotorua region as a great destination for international students looking to study abroad.

Our Approach

We worked with the team at John Paul College to develop a completely new website, that was much more user friendly and easier to update. New features included an eCommerce shop that allows uniforms to be purchased from home, the ability to pay school fees online, integration with the KAMAR portal, and a virtual tour of the school. The website is also more able to represent JPC globally as it is now more accessible to international students wanting to learn about the school in their own language.

The Results

Dubzz built John Paul College a fresh and vibrant website that reflected the success and strong reputation of the college. Training was provided to JPC staff who are now competent and confident to update the website and the uniform shop.

We created a uniform shop section with e-commerce making it much easier for students and their families to purchase school uniform online.

There was a large focus on the International section of the website, the content is translated into 12 languages and we have seen a 145% increase in visitors during 2018 compared to 2017.
