The Challenge

Karldon Trust is Rotorua’s oldest community-based non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting Tangata Whaiora to access safe, high quality supported housing and home-based support services. Karldon Trust approached Dubzz as they needed a new website that better reflected their service, and that could be easily updated by their team.

Our Approach

We met with the Karldon Trust team and after weighing up options, decided that building a new website was the best way forward. We focused on simplifying the website navigation and interface, which allows the wide range of users to navigate the site more easily. Utilising the WordPress content management systems and custom post functionality, we ensured that Karldon Trust are able to easily update the site themselves, reducing costs in the long term. The Results

Dubzz produced a unique and professional website that showcases and reflects the great work Karldon Trust does in the community. The new website is mobile responsive and looks great across all platforms.

Our team focused on creating a user-friendly site for both the Karldon Trust team and website users. We have spent time training with the team at Karldon Trust, so they are now competent and confident in making updates to the website.

The new website has a fast loading speed of 1.38 seconds, which has improved user engagement. Since the new website went live, we’ve seen a 30% increase in the number of pages visited and time spent on the website.

Karldon Trust identified the need to increase its profile in our local community and decided that using technology was the best way forward in order to gain reach to those people who might not use ‘traditional’ methods to find information. We already had a basic website set up and working with Rachel and her team, we established a Facebook page and then this year, updated the website to allow us more functionality and flexibility with the system. The team at Dubbz were fantastic to work with. They engaged with us to get to know our business which, as a mental health service provider, meant to understand the work we do and the type of information we wished to make available to the public. Dubzz provided us with the advice and guidance we needed, updated our website and Facebook platforms as well as provided staff training to manage the system and reporting functions in-house. As a not-for-profit organisation, our budget was fairly limited and we found their costs very reasonable. Overall, working with a local organisation who was approachable and responsive to our needs was a great decision for our business.
