The Challenge

Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park is a beachside holiday park North of Auckland, offering campsites for tents, caravans, campervans as well as holiday cabins and units. They have a Seekom website which worked well for guest bookings, but they needed to improve their online presence and Google ranking to increase traffic, particularly in the shoulder season.

Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park had no social presence, and wanted to create social media platforms to market their business, attract visitors and keep in touch with a returning customer base.

Dubzz implemented a search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy to improve their Google ranking and increase traffic to the Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park website. In addition to this we created a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram that could be used as a tool to engage with potential visitors, returning customers and drive traffic to the website.
We also implemented a successful Facebook advertising strategy to increase awareness and drive traffic to the Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park website.

The Results

Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park saw increased shoulder season website traffic of 22% in 2017 vs 2016 (Oct – December). Through ongoing SEO efforts, brand awareness and social media management we saw a 23% increase in organic traffic, 65% increase in direct traffic and 115% increase in social traffic during this period.

As part of our SEO strategy we were able to decrease website SEO errors by 39%. This resulted in the website better aligning with Google best practice and ultimately improving the ranking of the website in search results.

Through the implementation of our Facebook advertising campaigns, we saw social referral traffic to the Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park website increase by 141% over a three-month period.
