The Challenge

Ngāti Whakaue Tribal Lands own over 3,000 hectares of land surrounding Rotorua. This land is used for farming and generating lease income. A section of this land is also being developed into a Residential Housing Development called Wharenui Rise. The mission of Ngāti Whakaue Tribal Lands is to safeguard the lands, grow their asset base and increase the well-being of all stakeholders and iwi members.
Ngāti Whakaue Tribal Lands entrusted Dubzz to replace their outdated, difficult-to-navigate website. The primary goal was to develop a new website that is modern, professional, and easy to navigate for stakeholders and iwi members.

Our Approach

We started this project with a clear understanding that a clean content structure and mobile functionality were paramount features that would distinguish their new website from the old one. By prioritising these aspects, we aimed to substantially enhance the communication of essential information and improve user-friendliness, thereby addressing the navigation challenges experienced by stakeholders and iwi members with the previous website.
Furthermore, we integrated Te Reo Māori in the main headings and throughout the website to align with the organisation's values and goals. While leveraging foundational content from their previous website, we ensured the content reflected their brand identity better and upheld the organisation's commitment to professionalism.
