The Challenge

Toimatarau Post Production is a production company that specialises in managing, directing and post producing projects for Māori organisations, broadcasters and communications networks. They approached Dubzz for assistance in improving their online presence with the goal of ultimately securing more projects from high profile organisations around New Zealand. They did not have a website and had been relying on word of mouth marketing to secure new projects.

Dubzz began by meeting with Toimatarau owner Kereti Rautangata to get a solid understanding of the business, their existing marketing, customer base, and goals. From this, Dubzz recommended Toimatarau implement a two-stage plan to develop their online presence.
The first stage focused on exhibiting their previous work to potential clients. This is an important part of the sales process for Toimatarau, and therefore was key for meeting their business goals moving forward. Dubzz recommended they build a new website centred around showcasing their work and services available. The site would give them a professional online presence and provide a simple channel for clients to learn more about their work, services, and to get in touch.
The second stage of the plan was for Kereti to receive training on how to manage Toimatarau’s ongoing online presence, including how to rank well in Google, how to communicate effectively with e-newsletters, and how to keep his website running optimally and up to date.

The Results

Dubzz built Toimatarau a professional website that proudly presents their past work throughout the site.  The website has been built to be easily updatable with new text, images and projects as they are completed.

The scrolling testimonials and partner logos highlight the strong working relationships Toimatarau have within the media industry.  The site has a modern feel with a black background and large video display on the homepage. Dubzz used a combination of animations and a masonry tile layout throughout to signal the creativity of the Toimatarau team.

Once the website was complete, Dubzz then ran three one-on-one training sessions with Kereti.  The sessions taught best practice in managing the Toimatarau social media accounts and advertising, how to keep the new website performing well in online searches, and how to engage with their database through professional e-newsletters. One of the training sessions was completed in person, while the other two were completed remotely on Microsoft Teams.  Regional Business partners supported this training and provided partial funding for the course fees.

With their new website now live, Toimatarau are receiving enquiries through the contact form, and are seeing great engagement throughout the site.  They are also much more confident in managing their online presence moving forward.
