Review sites have made it easy for potential customers to find information on your products and services. Be aware of what people are posting about your business. Regularly check review sites such as Trip Advisor, Yelp and No Cowboys to see what people are saying about your business and always deal with negative feedback in a timely and positive way. Respond to the customer with an apology, explanation or incentive to win them back and strengthen your relationship. Let the customer know that you’re open to their comments and suggestions and you’re glad to have the opportunity to make amends.

Encourage your happy customers to post reviews and provide testimonials. This will offset any negative reviews that you might receive. Good reviews will send you pre-qualified, pre-sold customers. Make it easy for customers to leave testimonials and reviews by having a testimonial form on your website.

Promote good news stories and press releases on your website. Incorporate these into your social media strategy. Share the links on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to gain extra traction and drive enquiries to your website.

Set up a Google Alert to catch every online mention of your name, company, domain name, even high profile employees. Receiving notification of a potential problem, means you can proactively manage the issue, before it escalates or enters in to top search results.
