The beginning of a new year is a great time to think about your new business goals and what you want to achieve in the coming 12 months

Get more customers

Do you feel like you have tried all sorts of advertising and nothing works?

Rather than wasting time trying to find new customers, help new customers find you! Does your business come up when you search for the products or services your business offer? Most businesses will appear in a Google search under the name of their business, but not when people are looking for a product or solution to their problem. Search Engine Optimisation is the process that makes small tweaks to your website to make sure people can find it when searching online.

Get more business from your existing customers

Have you ever heard of re-marketing? Re-marketing allows you to show online ads (think Facebook or Google) only to people who have visited your website before, or who are on your mailing list. This is a highly effective way of targeting those that are already customers, or are already interested in your brand. Have you noticed after you visit a website you then see their ads pop up all over the internet? It is not coincidence, it is re-marketing, and it works!

Build a better relationship with your customers

Every business could improve their relationship with their customers. This could start with getting feedback from customers via an electronic survey or Facebook poll, and then taking action on some of the points of feedback. There is always room for improvement and your customers will really thank you for it!

Do you communicate with your customers when they are not at your place of business? Building a database and sending frequent e-newsletters to keep in touch with your clients is one of the quickest and most cost effective ways to boost your sales. Remind your customers about your products and services, what new offerings are available, and how you or your products may be able to help them. You can also add links within your emails to your website and social media channels to encourage viewers to look further.

Up-skill staff to add value to your business

There are many courses run by local businesses and training providers (there may even be funding available from RBP for approved businesses) so it is worth taking a look to see if there is something out there that suits you and your team. Grow your market base or reach a younger generation

If you know the demographics of your perfect customer, you can reach them directly using social media for a fraction of the price of traditional marketing.

This can allow you to increase your sales and your customer base, as you are no longer restricted by opening hours or location. People can do business with you anywhere at anytime.
