Holiday Parks New Zealand

The Challenge

Holiday Parks New Zealand (HPNZ) approached Dubzz to help improve their website performance by modernising their design, improving usability on mobile devices, and better communicating relevant information for their two distinct audiences; holiday park operators (HPNZ members) and consumers. Representing 75% of commercial holiday parks in New Zealand, HPNZ services a broad audience. With so many key stakeholders, HPNZ had to carefully consider both their members and public audiences, while also preserving a sizable database of information that they store within the website and utilise in providing their services.

Our Approach

Dubzz echoed the opportunity to modernise the website design and set up a more sustainable foundation for website maintenance. The plan was to create two modern mobile-friendly websites; one for consumers and one for operating members of HPNZ. Both sites feature a more streamlined content structure to ensure users access their relevant information quickly and efficiently.

Each site provides content that speaks intentionally to the respective audience. Custom editing interfaces, data exports and dashboard options create a more organised editing structure to create a more efficient workflow when staff make updates. Key messaging across both websites ensures consistency and relevancy for each audience, which shares a commonly themed but visually distinct look and feel, based on the two separate sites and audiences. Data was transferred from the old site and platform to the new site, preserving valuable information through the website transitions. Holiday Parks New Zealand View Website Here

The Results

Dubzz launched the new HPNZ public-facing website for holiday park consumers in mid-December 2022. It aligned with the lead-up to the busy holiday season for parks across New Zealand. The website features a mobile-friendly interface that is easy to navigate with clear calls to action. To help meet the rising expectations of digital users, we ensured that the design was modern and responsive to sustain high-quality consumer engagement.

The resulting consumer website also features more cost-effective integrations, including more efficient integrations of Google API and Google Translate, saving HPNZ money without sacrificing the function of this tooling. We also implemented dedicated hosting and a Cloudflare CDN to enhance site security and speed.  Our team continues to work on the members’ website, maintaining the new HPNZ standards for usability and a modern feel. We look forward to launching the second website in the coming months.

“When we tendered interest in developing a new website for Holiday Parks New Zealand, we were impressed by the responses from Dubzz Digital Marketing. We had an existing relationship with Dubzz, who had managed social media campaigns for us and provided expert advice to our members at our conferences and other meetings. The team at Dubzz had a clear understanding of our requirements and has put together a website that fully meets our needs. They have been very open to suggestions and have worked hard to meet our needs. We have been particularly impressed with the communication we have had with Dubzz and their customer service level. We believe that Dubzz Digital Marketing is an excellent partner in developing our digital presence.”
